Dear Stan, Sons, and families,
We are so saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Kathy. It is funny how so many did not know she was Mary K.?
I have many fond memories of times spent visiting with her while viewing some of her beautiful creations beginning with her awesome Veterans' Quilts, of which she made sure I knew Pastor Stan helped her with many of them. And I can't forget her Ladies' Dress Glove Quilt. That is a favorite of mine as well. She will certainly be missed in every Quilting Circle throughout the state. She was tops in this field and many other circles.
We are praying for Stan's health recovery, and for everyone involved in her passing as she will be missed by so many.
Heaven certainly gained an Angel this time.

Dear Stan and Family: We are so very sorry to hear about Mary's passing. We have appreciated the dedicated partnership over many years. Mary and Stan were always in the front row at our Weather/Skywarn Spotter Training, and we simply can not over emphasize the importance of their role in keeping the people safe from all hazards. We hope and pray for comfort for everyone touched by Mary's legacy and for Stan's full recovery. With our Deepest Sympathy, Julie Adolphson and Staff, National Weather Service, Pleasant Hill, Missouri

So sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. She was a wonderful friend of mine and so glad to have known her. I always knew of Stan through KCOM offering the first aid and cpr classes that were offered to employees. I got to know Kathy through the Christian Woman's After Five meetings that we had in Kirksville for a number of years. She was on the board with me and we shared a lot of prayers and friendship through those meetings. She was a great example of a true Christian woman and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Someone we should all aspire to be like. Cherish and hold on to the memories. My dad just passed away in November and I can see them getting to know each other and realizing they both knew me. Such a homecoming in Heaven!
