Tresa Lyn (Abernathy) Fox, 55 of Columbia formerly of Kirksville, Mo passed away Tuesday January 30, 2018 at the University of Columbia.
Tresa was born June 6, 1962 the daughter of Harold and Marilyn Abernathy in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
She grew up in Peoria Illinois, she joined the United States Navy and married Martin Fox on June 19, 1983. They relocated to North Carolina before returning to Kirksville in 1987. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Lovegreen Ford in Kirksville along with various jobs at a local green house and restaurants. In 2011 she relocated to Kennett MO and then to Columbia. Tresa was also a homemaker who loved cooking, quilting, crafting and her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hal and Rich Abernathy; one daughter, Jackelyn Fox and son-in-law Grant Werner.
Tresa is survived by her five children, Jessica Werner of Salem Oregon, Jennifer Fox (Amanda) of Salem Oregon, Martin Fox Jr. (Christina) of Morris Chapel Tennessee, Marshall Fox (Tamara) of Kirksville, Mo and Matthew Fox (Shelby) of Columbia, Mo; six grandchildren, Lillian, Charles, Sophie, Avelyn, Tasia, Tara; one sister, Lisa Abernathy of Bowling Green, Mo; one brother, Robert Abernathy of Peoria, Il and several nieces and nephews.
Tresa Lyn will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
